Translation of texts from Spanish or Portuguese to English provided by George R. Shivers, Ph.D

I  taught Spanish and Portuguese languages and courses in Spanish and Latin American literature and culture for 38 years at Washington College in Chestertown, MD prior to my retirement in 2007.  I am currently an adjunct professor of Spanish at Salisbury University, Salisbury, MD.  Throughout my teaching career I have provided interpreting and translating services on a free-lance basis.  I have  translated birth and marriage certificates, university transcripts, documents for a public transportation company and for the local Department of Social Services, as well as  a variety of legal documents.  My special love is literary translation.
